Job description

Real Estate Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is representing an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its Wilmington, Delaware office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 3–5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience who is interested in working across the full lifecycle of real estate assets.

Responsibilities
  • Handle commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing transactions
  • Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, loan documents, and closing documents
  • Conduct title review, due diligence, and support development projects
  • Advise developers, owners, lenders, and investors on complex real estate transactions
  • Assist with joint ventures, private equity real estate matters, and other sophisticated transactions
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience
  • Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, title review, and due diligence
  • Experience with real estate private equity, joint ventures, or diverse commercial asset classes is a plus
  • Land use and environmental law experience is beneficial but not required
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active Delaware Bar admission
