Job description

The Manufacturing Technician III - Accellix is responsible for preparing, formulating, and manufacturing reagents and consumables used in the Accellix product line. This role performs precision production activities that directly impact product quality, assay performance, and customer outcomes. The position works within a GMP-regulated environment and ensures all manufacturing activities are completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and formulate reagents, solutions, and antibody mixtures according to approved procedures.
  • Perform precision liquid handling using micropipettes and other dispensing equipment.
  • Verify materials, lot numbers, concentrations, and traceability before use.
  • Execute manufacturing processes while maintaining strict process controls and tolerances.
  • Perform line clearance and verify equipment readiness before production activities.
  • Handle biological materials and reagents according to established environmental and storage requirements.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and identify quality, process, or material issues.
  • Perform inspections of materials and finished components to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Support in-process testing and quality control activities.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Participate in investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow GMP, GDP, safety, and quality requirements at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, laboratory, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or a related regulated environment; including:
    • experience using precision liquid handling equipment such as micropipettes or repeat dispensers.
    • experience following detailed procedures and maintaining accurate documentation.

Preferred

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience in laboratory-based or precision manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working in GMP-regulated manufacturing.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of reagent handling, traceability, and controlled manufacturing processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

The estimated salary range for this role based in Illinois is between $27.00 - $38.80. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
