What is a Ready Ride driver?

Ready Ride drivers are professional drivers who provide transportation services for individuals who may not have access to a personal vehicle or public transit, often focusing on seniors or those with mobility challenges. They operate vehicles to safely transport passengers to medical appointments, shopping destinations, or other essential locations. Ready Ride drivers may work for specialized transportation companies or non-profit organizations and are trained to assist riders with special needs. They play an important role in helping people maintain independence and access necessary services.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a Ready Ride driver?

To thrive as a Ready Ride Driver, you need a valid driver's license, clean driving record, knowledge of local routes, and often a high school diploma or GED. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, scheduling software, and sometimes wheelchair-accessible vehicle operation is typically required.
