Job description

At Desert Ready Mix, LLC we are always looking for drivers with great work ethic and friendly attitude. Our drivers are required to have a valid Commercial Driver License (CDL), Class A or Class B. Ready-Mix drivers spend a good deal of the day engaging with customers in operating the drum to discharge the mixed concrete. On a typical day, a ready-mix driver may deliver multiple loads of concreate, this would mean half the time driving and the other half doing a variety of other activities (truck preparation, drum operation, etc..). We offer competitive wages, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short-Term , and Long-Term Disability, 401K, Sick Pay, Vacation Pay, and Holiday Pay. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain vehicle in a clean, organized, and safe fashion. 
  • Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and Company regulations. 
  • Wear all PPE (hard hat, vest, safety glasses, work boots, etc.). 
  • Perform walk around inspection of assigned equipment (check oil, water, fuel, lights, tires, etc.). 
  • Visually inspect mix for proper materials.
  • Drive in compliance with traffic laws and extend courtesy to other vehicles on the road. 
  • Drive using the A.L.W.A.Y.S Defensive Driving Systems.

Qualifications:

  • Must have reading, writing, and math skills. 
  • Must have a minimum of a valid Class B license. 
  • Must have a clean DMV. 
  • Must possess valid medical card. 
  • Concrete knowledge and experience preferred. 

Physical Demands:

       While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop or crouch. The employee is required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. 

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
