Batch Operator

Kelly Services – St. Louis, MO

Kelly Services is currently hiring a Batch Operator for a manufacturing company in St. Louis, MO. We are seeking dependable candidates with at least 1 year of manufacturing or production experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Pay & Schedule
  • Pay: $18–$20/hour
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday
  • Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Job Responsibilities
  • Operate dry blend mixers, sifters, packaging equipment, and other production machinery
  • Operate liquid mixing tanks, mixers, pumps, and related manufacturing equipment
  • Accurately mix, blend, and weigh materials according to production specifications
  • Perform equipment changeovers and make adjustments during production runs
  • Clean blenders, tanks, and production equipment after batches are completed
  • Complete manufacturing log sheets and production documentation accurately
  • Follow all SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Assist with daily cleaning and sanitation tasks to maintain a safe work environment
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve production efficiency
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production updates or issues
  • Safely operate a forklift and obtain forklift certification if needed
  • Follow all company safety policies and report incidents immediately
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or production experience required
  • Previous mixing, blending, weighing, or batch operation experience preferred
  • Experience in a chemical or industrial manufacturing environment is a plus
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Basic math skills required, including unit and weight conversions
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding production environment
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move materials regularly
  • Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail for extended periods
