Ohio Ready Mix, Inc. is the leading provider of ready mixed concrete. Duff Quarry, Inc. is an Ohio provider of crushed stone, sand, and gravel. A family owned and operated company for over 50 years, we are a leader in crushing technology, we have delivered products and services used to build the factories, bridges, roads, and sidewalks in West Central Ohio. Headquartered in Huntsville with plants in Marysville, Bellefontaine and Plain City, the company’s growth and success has been built on industry knowledge, ethical business practices, quality products, and exceptional service. Responsibilities and Duties
  • Delivering ready-mixed concrete and other associated products from batch plants to construction sites and homes in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Pre-trip inspections of ready-mix trucks pursuant to D.O.T. regulations.
  • Safely loads and promptly delivers ready-mixed concrete to job sites as dispatched while maintaining positive customer and public relations.
  • Performs related loading and unloading operations with ready-mixed concrete delivery truck in an efficient safe manner.
  • Performs regular maintenance and cleaning inside of concrete drum as required.
  • Rinses chutes and rear of truck free of spilled concrete and returns truck to batch plant following EPA regulations. Assists concrete block molds and production, as needed.
  • Keeps inside of cab clean and sanitary. Performs daily cleaning and routine maintenance of truck.
  • Performs other functions and duties as required or directed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines.
  • Must multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and possesses the ability to complete tasks on-time and with little supervision.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
  • Ability to climb in and out of the truck when delivering concrete and lift extension chutes and other items weighing between 25 to 75 pounds, at least 30 percent of the time.
Education / Training Requirements
  • 1-year ready-mix truck operations a plus
  • Valid Class A or Class B License
  • Age 25 or 21 with clean driving record
  • Clean Motor vehicle record (MVR)
  • GED/high-school diploma
