As an Adjudication Officer (Policy), you will draft and oversee publication of regulations, field manuals and other instructional documents and interpret policies relating to immigrant, non-immigrant and U.S. citizenship services programs.Qualifications:The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 06/26/2026.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 06/26/2026.
GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the majority of the following duties:
  • Preparing high-level reports on the impact of proposed immigration adjudicative policy on the agency mission;
  • Participating in working groups to negotiate policy changes and implementing recommendations to meet the agency mission;
  • Serving as an expert consultant on Immigration benefits, assesses current and future needs of the agency, and evaluates program effectiveness and compliance with laws and regulations;
  • Reviewing and analyzing proposed legislation and the effect on the adjudication program; formulate and initiate procedures in the adjudication programs, and prepare implementing changes.
