Salary Range: $62,500 - $86,193 annually (based on K-12 years of experience and highest level of education)

Position Overview:

The Reading Interventionist provides targeted literacy instruction to students in grades K–8 who need additional support in developing reading and writing skills. This role requires expertise in reading intervention strategies, collaboration with classroom teachers, and a commitment to student growth and school success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver focused reading intervention instruction for students in kindergarten through eight grade.
  • Apply research-based strategies to support student progress in fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, and writing.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention strategies with core instruction.
  • Work with small groups of students to provide individualized and differentiated instruction.
  • Assist in identifying students for intervention and help schedule and assign them to appropriate groups.
  • Monitor student progress and use assessment data to inform instruction and improve outcomes.
  • Demonstrate effective classroom management to maintain a productive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively using oral and written language.
  • Design and implement lessons that accommodate diverse learning needs, styles, and backgrounds.
  • Support the mission, values, and curriculum of the school.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field preferred.
  • Valid teaching license preferred.
  • Prior experience as a reading interventionist or related instructional role preferred.

  • Ability to analyze assessment data to guide instruction
