Job description

Pay:  $16.60 - 19.06 / hour (Step placement dependent upon education and experience)

Schedule:  M-F / 5.5 hours daily / 27.5 hours weekly 

Please note GHAPS will complete the recruiting process but the employee will be onboarded by WMJ.       

Applicants for this position must possess the following criteria:

  1. Must possess a high school diploma and have  60 hours of study at a college/university; or an Associates Degree or higher; or  pass a competency test (Michigan Test for Teacher Certification - Basic Skills Test,  or ETS ParaPro Test - (Math, Reading, and Writing  tests). Preference will be given to an individual with teacher certification.
  2. Must possess experience with math and reading interventions.
  3. The demonstrated ability to work positively with "at-risk" math students.
  4. Self-directed with good organizational and communication skills.
  5. A demonstrated ability to work effectively in both a team and individual tutoring situation.
