Warehouse Material Handler Processor 1

TITLE: Warehouse Processor 1

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager, Team Leads

SUPERVISES: N/A

Position: Full Time/Non-exempt. Minimum 40 hours per week

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00pm-4:30pm. Overtime opportunities before and after hours and weekends

Starting Pay: $20-22/hour

Job summary

Reaction Auto Parts, Inc is searching for a Warehouse Worker to join our team in our distribution center. We need an ambitious and hardworking professional who does not mind working in hot or cold conditions and can work an entire shift on his or her feet. We prize speed and accuracy above all else, so we require a Warehouse Worker who can pay careful attention on the job, follow instructions precisely and double-check his or her work before completing a task.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive and replenish merchandise from the manufacturer into each part’s designated location.

Identify damaged, lost or missing merchandise and notify supervisor immediately.

Pack and label parts accordingly.

Operate packing machinery, including forklift, order picker, reach trucks.

Always treat merchandise with care and concern.

Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment regularly.

Ability to work on feet and frequent bending and squatting.

Must be able to lift and carry items 50-90 lbs.

Jobs will be assigned daily to each individual based on business needs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate

1-2 years warehouse or related experience preferred

Forklift, Order Picker, Reach Truck experience required.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Missouri driver's license or state ID

Current Forklift Certification or willing to obtain immediately after hiring process. Sit Down Forklift, Standup Forklift, Order Picker, Reach Truck

Great customer service skills.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Warehousing methods and procedures.
  • Methods of receiving, inspecting and issuing materials.
  • Materials, equipment and supplies used on a daily basis
  • Operation of a forklift and other assigned vehicle and equipment.
  • Warehouse procedures, equipment and terminology.
  • Health and safety regulations.
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.

ABILITY TO:

  • Operate warehouse vehicles, machines and equipment.
  • Receive, issue, store and return warehouse stock and supplies.
  • Lift, move, sort and store objects.

  • Observe health and safety regulations.
  • Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights averaging 30 lbs, but up to 80 pounds
  • Requires working in hot/cold warehouse environments.
  • Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
