Job description

ABOUT STUDYFETCH
StudyFetch is a technology company building AI-native learning products: StudyFetch for students and Honen for workforce training. Together, they connect education with real-world readiness across every stage of learning.
THE ROLE
This is a hands-on engineering role inside our team. You'll work directly with the people building and scaling the platform, shipping code that goes out to real students. The work spans our mobile app, our web product, and the AI features that sit underneath both.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Ship real code to production. You'll pick up tickets in our mobile and web repos and see them through from branch to release
  • Build features across the stack: React Native on mobile, Next.js on web, and Node.js services powering both
  • Work on AI-powered product features, including prompt design, model integration, and the plumbing that makes them fast and reliable
  • Debug production issues, reproduce bug reports, and fix them
  • Write tests and help improve our QA and CI setup so things break less often
  • Sit in on planning and design discussions and contribute ideas. Your perspective as a student who actually uses study tools matters at StudyFetch

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in CS or a related field (rising junior or senior preferred)
  • Comfortable with JavaScript or TypeScript, and able to read code you didn't write
  • Genuinely interested in building products, not just completing assignments
  • Clear communicator, written and verbal. You'll be explaining your work in PRs, in Slack, and out loud on calls
  • Organized and dependable, able to track a lot of moving pieces without dropping them
  • Self-starter who can move without being told every step
  • Bonus: experience with React, React Native, or Next.js
  • Bonus: you've shipped a side project, contributed to open source, or built something with an LLM API
  • Bonus: familiar with tools like Git, Linear, Cursor, or Vercel
