Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying high frequency sound waves for the purpose of detecting pathology. Operates the Ultrasound equipment and develops the ultrasound films to obtain a permanent record of the examination. Assist in the daily operating of the Imaging Services Department. Uses sterile techniques with all procedures requiring it and assists the radiologist with procedures when a physician’s presence is required. Position requires call. 

What qualifications you will need:
  • (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • Associate Degree
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (RDMS-AB) RDMS Abdomen Specialty, or (RDMS-OB/GYN) RDMS Obstetrics & Gynecology, required
