What is an RCSWI?

An RCSWI stands for Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern. It is a provisional license granted to individuals who have completed a master's degree in social work and are working towards full licensure as a clinical social worker. RCSWIs work under supervision to gain the required clinical experience and supervision hours needed to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). The RCSWI designation allows them to provide social work services in clinical settings while preparing for the licensure exam.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (RCSWI), and why are they important?

To thrive as a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (RCSWI), you need a master's degree in social work (MSW), foundational clinical assessment skills, and active RCSWI registration. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, evidence-based therapy modalities, and documentation standards is important. Strong interpersonal communication, empathy, and cultural competence help build client trust and effectively support diverse populations. These competencies ensure ethical, effective care and successful progression toward independent clinical licensure.

What kinds of supervision and mentorship can an RCSWI expect during their provisional licensure period?

As a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (RCSWI), you will be required to work under the supervision of a qualified Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) during your provisional licensure period. Supervision typically involves regular one-on-one or group meetings where you review cases, discuss ethical considerations, and receive feedback on your clinical skills. This mentorship is designed to help you develop professional competence, navigate complex client situations, and prepare for independent practice. Many agencies also provide additional training opportunities and support to help you meet the required hours for full licensure.

Job description

About Seasons Psychotherapy Associates
Seasons Psychotherapy Associates is a thriving, heart-centered group practice with offices across South Florida (including Davie, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, and Tampa). Our team of 45+ clinicians is committed to high-quality, compassionate care for children, adults, families, and couples. We prioritize clinical excellence, professional growth, diversity, and a supportive environment where therapists thrive - not just survive.

Tired of agency burnout, inconsistent referrals, and collecting hours without real support?
This is more than an internship - it's a true clinical home built for motivated Registered Intern Therapists (RMHCI, RCSWI, RMFTI) who want structured supervision, steady caseload growth, and a low-burnout path to Florida licensure.

What You'll Do

  • Build a consistent outpatient caseload starting at 15+ sessions/week and ramping toward 24+ sessions/week (for full-time benefits)
  • Deliver therapy (in-person in one of our beautiful Broward offices + hybrid telehealth based on client needs)
  • Receive free weekly qualified supervision (individual and/or group)
  • Complete timely, high-quality clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with a supportive team of colleagues and external providers
  • Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards

Requirements Required:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy
  • Currently registered (or eligible to register within 60 days) as RCSWI, RMHCI, or RMFTI in Florida
  • Availability for at least 2 late-afternoon/evening shifts per week (e.g., 3-8 PM)
  • Commitment to growing and maintaining a steady caseload

Preferred:

  • Experience in outpatient, school-based, or community mental health settings
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese (highly valued)
  • Strong clinical skills, reliability, and eagerness for mentorship

Compensation & Benefits (W-2 Employee)

  • Competitive pay: $40-$52+ per clinical session (face-to-face therapy hour), paid biweekly
  • Realistic full-time earning potential: $50,000-$78,000+ annually (at 24-30 sessions/week, ~50 working weeks, with our consistent referral support)
  • Zero overhead - we handle all billing, credentialing, scheduling, and collections
  • Free qualified supervision (weekly and integrated into your schedule)
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Health, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance (eligible at full-time caseload of 24+ sessions/week)
  • Full administrative support so you can focus on clients and your growth

Why Join Seasons? Many early-career clinicians start in high-turnover agency roles and feel overwhelmed. Here, you'll find stable referrals, real mentorship, a collaborative team, and a sustainable private-practice environment designed to prevent burnout and launch your career successfully. Location preference (Davie, Fort Lauderdale, or Coral Springs) will be considered.

If you're a driven Registered Intern Therapist ready for structured support and long-term success in South Florida, we'd love to meet you!
