Job description

Harmony House Care Home is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Part-Time Caregiver to provide high-quality care and support to elderly residents in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE). The ideal candidate will be attentive, patient, and committed to ensuring the comfort, dignity, and well-being of all residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents

  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration monitoring

  • Monitor and report any changes in residents’ physical or mental condition

  • Ensure a safe and clean living environment

  • Assist with medication reminders (as permitted by RCFE regulations)

  • Support residents during recreational and social activities

  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with staff and management

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in caregiving, assisted living, or healthcare preferred

  • Must be compassionate, patient, and dependable

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
