Rbt Tech information

What is an RBT Tech?

RBT Techs, or Registered Behavior Technician Technicians, are paraprofessionals who work under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to provide behavior analysis services, often to individuals with autism or other developmental disorders. They implement behavior intervention plans, collect data, and support clients in achieving specific behavioral goals. RBT Techs play a crucial role in helping clients improve communication, social skills, and daily living abilities. To become an RBT Tech, individuals must complete training, pass a competency assessment, and obtain certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

What skills and qualifications are needed to be an RBT Tech?

To thrive as an RBT Tech, you need a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of RBT training, and certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Familiarity with data collection software, behavior intervention plans, and basic ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) tools is typically required. Patience, strong communication skills, and attention to detail are crucial soft skills for effectively supporting clients with behavioral needs. These skills ensure accurate implementation of therapy plans, promote positive client outcomes, and maintain professional standards in behavioral health settings.

What challenges do RBT Techs face when working with clients, and how can they be managed?

RBT Techs (Registered Behavior Technicians) often encounter challenges such as managing challenging behaviors, adapting to individualized client needs, and maintaining consistency in implementing behavior intervention plans. These challenges can be managed through ongoing communication with supervising Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), regular training, and diligent data collection. Collaborating closely with team members and caregivers also helps ensure that strategies are effective and that progress is monitored, which supports both client success and professional growth.

What other jobs can an Rbt Tech get?

An RBT Tech can transition into roles such as Behavior Technician, ABA Therapist, or Behavioral Support Specialist, often requiring similar certifications and experience working with individuals with developmental or behavioral needs. They may also pursue positions in healthcare, social services, or special education that utilize their skills in behavior management and client support.

Where do RBT Techs get paid the most?

RBT Techs tend to earn higher wages in regions with a higher cost of living and greater demand for behavioral health services. Job description

Certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Artemis ABA Inc. is a technology company revolutionizing the ABA field through our proprietary, AI-powered platformโ€”built entirely on Salesforce. Our solution streamlines clinical workflows, billing, scheduling, and compliance. Designed with ABA professionals in mind, Artemis delivers intuitive, scalable software that powers smarter care delivery and operational excellence.

We're seeking a certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our Client Success team in a non-clinical, product-facing role spanning pre-sales, onboarding, training, and ongoing customer support. You'll help ABA clinics adopt our platform, train their staff, offer support, and ensure they maximize value from our software. Note: This role does not involve therapy sessions โ€”you'll be guiding ABA professionals on using Artemis effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboard new ABA clinics and guide them through software setup and training
  • Provide responsive, expert support related to clinical workflows in the system
  • Tailor software support and training using your ABA background
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to relay client feedback and feature suggestions
  • Create and maintain user-friendly training materials, guides, and FAQs
  • Represent Artemis as a clinical expert during client success interactions
  • Support client demos, webinars, and continuing education efforts

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in an ABA therapy setting
  • Experience using ABA platforms such as CentralReach, Rethink, or Catalyst
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interest in technology and software tools
  • Bonus: Prior experience in client-facing, training, or support roles

Why Join Artemis ABA?

  • Use your RBT experience in an innovative, non-clinical role
  • Be part of a fast-growing tech company focused on the ABA community
  • Help shape the future of ABA software and services
  • Work with a collaborative, mission-driven team
