FX eTrading Senior Developer, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, New York, NY:

Develop and enhance the FX business high volume, low latency automated pricing and trading systems using Java (and low latency technologies and messaging solutions). Develop software solutions across all parts of the business' electronic trading stack, from market connectivity, price processing and publication, order management, order negotiation, and hand-off to middle and back-office systems. Work directly with traders and quantitative developers on gathering requirements, implementation of requirements and managing internal and external stakeholders. Provide 3rd line support of FX trading business. Mentor developers. Provide expert-level technical input into low latency Java expertise into the firm's New York principal pricing and trading technology team - enabling it to execute on the business' plan to consolidate multiple platforms. Create and maintain fully automated DevOps pipelines.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $225,000.00 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

Must have 3 years of experience in:

* Multithreaded skills and use of current Java Frameworks;

* Using Java advanced features to reduce trading latencies;

* Improving application throughput;

* Design, implementation, and delivery of complex, globally-distributed, high-availability, real-time trading systems;

* Server-side Java;

* QA Automated testing and processes;

* Agile style development methods;

* FX or Rates front office technology (pricing, risk, liquidity aggregation, high-frequency trading or ecommerce);

* Developing, maintaining, and deploying high-performance, low-latency applications; and,

* Messaging systems (Solace, Tibco/RV, Aeron or IBM MQSeries) and integrating them.

The base salary for this job is $225,000.00 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
