Job description

Security Clearance Specialist

What You Will Do
  • Administer programs for handling, safeguarding, and controlling classified and proprietary information.
  • Work closely with the RTX FSO to deliver seamless and proactive security support to the RTX and Raytheon Senior Leadership Teams (SLT).
  • Provide periodic after-hours and weekend support for classified meetings and activities.
  • Serve as the CSSO for SCIF/SAPF operations and act as COMSEC Manager for a small account.
  • Maintain Raytheon's 441 and 441‑1 MFO documentation and manage classified subcontracts across Raytheon.
  • Coordinate with government and industry oversight agencies and support inspections, assessments, and audits of security programs and systems.
  • Receive, and distribute export licenses across all Raytheon facilities.
  • Develop and implement local security procedures as needed to ensure compliance with government regulations and corporate requirements across Raytheon and RTX.
  • Investigate security incidents, document findings, and recommend mitigation measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain required security documentation and reporting in all applicable systems of record.
  • Coordinate with government agencies to obtain required authorizations and regulatory deviations where appropriate.
  • Partner closely with Physical Security, Cybersecurity, Security Business Partners, and Special Programs to support mission objectives.
  • Provide guidance, subject matter expertise, and mentorship to security personnel.
  • Manage contract guards and approve invoicing
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of industrial security experience, including at least four (3) years as an FSO for a cleared facility.
  • Current FSO certification for a possessing facility.
  • Experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience supporting SAP and/or SCI programs.
  • Experience working with National Industrial Security Programs and experience interfacing with DCSA or other Cognizant Security Agencies, including engagement with senior and executive leadership.
