What You Will Do:

  • Provide technical direction to the Hardware Engineering team for design and implementation activities
  • Review and interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings to ensure production success
  • Manage production cost and schedule reporting using Earned Value methods
  • Coordinate technical interchange meetings and communicate project status with program leadership and customers
  • Monitor team progress toward Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) milestones
  • Assist with feasibility studies and prepare Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates for project assessments
  • Oversee the development and fulfillment of Bills of Material (BOM) and Raytheon procurement processes
  • Support manufacturing and assembly processes, ensuring compliance with requirements and policies
  • Learn and utilize tools such as SAP/PRISM for planning and tracking project needs

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience
  • Experience providing technical direction to hardware engineering teams for design and implementation
  • Experience with standard corporate procurement processes and BOM development
  • Experience with manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Experience with cost and schedule development and reporting
  • An active and transferable Top Secret clearance is required to start. Must also be able to obtain SCI clearance once in the position. 
  • Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with deployment and integration of electronic equipment
  • Experience evaluating and mitigating risks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio and PDF markup tools
  • Familiarity with large scale data management systems
  • Experience with ANSI & ASME standards
  • Experience giving technical briefs or presentations
  • Experience with the Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle, including requirements generation and updates
  • Proven leadership in schedule execution and management, with the ability to deconflict obstacles
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
