DuPont Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Raw Material Planner to support its Hemlock, Michigan site.

In the Raw Material Planner role, this individual will be accountable for the formal planning and execution of all tactical level processes required to secure and manage raw materials, packaging materials, and semi-finished materials, based on a forward-looking production plan. This includes scheduling and managing delivery, storage, staging, and movement of materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining valid plans for the acquisition of parts and materials. "Valid plans" are time sequenced for materials required by the supply plan and resources are available to supply the materials at the right time, quality and quantity.

* Please note - this is a hybrid position 4 days in the office and 1 day remote. Relocation is not provided for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Validate material availability against asset schedule.
  • Create, validate and maintain a valid materials plan based upon the Master Plan and Master Production Schedule.
  • Ensure the right materials are procured at the right time, quality and quantity to minimize production and storage costs, based on the material plan.
  • Develop and provide expected demand for ingredients and packaging materials to suppliers on regular basis. Obtain supply capability confirmation.
  • Schedule and manage the execution of material deliveries against existing contracts or purchase orders.
  • Assess and respond to expected raw material storage and distribution capacity requirements based upon supplier lead times.
  • Lead resolution of short-term supply/demand imbalances for ingredients and packaging materials.
  • Identify and initiate response to raw material service/quality complaints from manufacturing. Initiate return material process involving QA and Sourcing.
  • Participate in and provide data for evaluation of supplier service performance and work with sourcing and suppliers to improve performance.
  • Execute the plans for non-productive raw materials for disposition. Manage health of raw materials, semi-finished and packaging materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in supply chain, material planning, or procurement experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute material plans aligned to production schedules and supplier constraints.
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP, replenishment logic, safety stock / reorder strategies, and production execution principles.
  • Effective cross-functional communication skills, working with manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers.
  • APICS/ASCM certification preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
