From the edges of space to the bottoms of ocean, our materials are proven to perform -- and so is our team. We're hiring high performers as proven as our products. Join us.
We are currently hiring a Raw Material Technician to join our Bakers facility in Monroe, North Carolina. The Raw Material Technician plays a vital role in ensuring there is a steady supply of quality raw materials to use in melt operations. This position is critical to keeping production running smoothly and meeting customer demands. In this role you will be responsible for operating the Speedway and Hydraulic Press to compact titanium sponge into titanium pucks where they will be placed in drums and delivered to our melt operations.

This will ensure top quality raw materials are supplied to help ATI achieve its production goals and overall company mission.
This is a night shift position from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, working on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. You will work 2 days, have 2 days off, work 3 days; then 2 days off, work 2 days, then have 3 days off. Training will take place from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on the same rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

  • Must be able to maintain IME certification by fulfilling all requirements.

Preferred Qualification
  • High School Diploma or GED

Skills:
  • Proficient in precision measuring techniques using tools such as measuring tapes.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure
  • Basic computer skills

  • Strong reading comprehension skills with the ability to understand and follow written instructions
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to interact well with employees and cross functional teams

We thrive when the expectations are great, and the barriers are high. We're solving the world's most difficult challenges through materials science.
