Job description

Stream-Flo Industries Ltd. is currently seeking a full-time permanent Director, Corporate Quality. This position will provide effective leadership, strategy and organizational communication for all Stream-Flo Group of Companies (SFG) relative to Quality Management and Quality Control.

 Responsibilities:

  • Participate in and oversee the development of strategic quality objectives and business management process requirements.
  • Build a cohesive and effective Quality team - identify priorities and accountabilities for the team, monitor performance, and coach and direct as required to meet objectives.
  • Oversee, monitor and address key performance indicators.
  • Establish and maintain a competitive advantage with respect to meeting or exceeding customer and/or market expectations relative to the corporate Quality Management System (QMS).

Duties Include:

  • Design, implement and oversee all aspects of the quality management system and performance improvement program within the organization.
  • Set Quality objectives and goals for the organization and lead corporate level Quality Management Meetings.
  • Support Quality managers at business level and promote full integration of the QMS into all areas of the organization.
  • Develop systems to ensure that employees are trained and performing properly to produce quality products and/or services.
  • Achieve corporate objectives by fostering a collaborative, quality-focused culture, and partnering with and mentoring all functions to ensure a high level of quality and compliance company-wide to drive a “right-the-first time” approach.
  • As required, act as primary Company liaison for designated customers audits and quality performance meetings.
  • Identify, develop, and drive process improvement projects across the company to achieve reduction in costs, improvements in quality, and faster cycle times.
  • Provide effective customer relations by ensuring processes, products and services meet customer requirements, and by ensuring any identified gaps or process failures are corrected through root cause and corrective action methodology.
  • Participate in quality monitoring and reporting, driving continuous improvement in the company through the QMS.
  • Conduct audits to reinforce quality objectives, and to monitor location, facility and employee adherence with QMS.
  • Monitor nonconformance activities to ensure timely rectification and closure of issues, and to facilitate corrective and preventative thinking and actions.
  • Conduct / Facilitate Root Cause Analysis of high impact quality incidents
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee participation/recognition.
  • Participate in/lead special projects and assignments as required.
  • Mentor and develop the Quality Managers.
  • Operate in adherence to agreed budget, and corporate HSE, HR, IT and Quality practices.
  • Represent Company on industry committees as required.
  • Monitor changes to statutory regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous senior level experience in developing and managing a complex Quality Management System of a multiple site organization
  • Extensive experience in various RCA Methodologies with Six Sigma Black Belt Certification & defect elimination experience
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of oilfield manufacturing, wellhead equipment and services.
  • Strong comprehension of customer expectations and customer service orientation.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, good organizational abilities, and able to work independently.
  • A solid reputation for integrity and delivering on commitments.
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Lean manufacturing experience is an asset.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

 Employment Details:

  • This is a full-time, permanent position
  • Salary range for this position is $171,000 to $190,000 per annum.
