ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble page layouts for press-sheet configurations per customer specifications using a Mac-based work flow configuration.
- Create contract project proofs using wide-format proofing devices.
- Proficiently configure press-sheet layouts using XMF RIP hardware.
- Proficiently utilize a PDF workflow.
- Manually output litho plates using CTP technology and verify desired outputs.
- Work closely with Account Managers, Pressroom personnel and Bindery Team Leaders to ensure desired customer expectations.
- Perform routine maintenance on CTP Plate Processor and trouble-shoot potential problems. Perform routine housekeeping maintenance of work areas.
- Manually distribute litho plates to the desired presses.
- This position is detail-driven in a fast-paced environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Ability to work with other department personnel on a job-to-job basis.
- Prior experience in Mac-based applications (Adobe InDesign, PDF, Photoshop, etc.).
- Prior experience with Postscript RIP technology (Rampage, XMF). Prior experience in a CTP environment.
