JOIN THE PRS AUTO FAMILY IN KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI
RAIL TERMINAL SUPERVISOR OF OPERATIONS
PRS Auto is growing, and we are excited to welcome a Rail Terminal Supervisor of Operations to our close-knit team at the Norfolk Southern rail terminal in Kansas City. This is more than a job—it is an opportunity to build a long-term career with a company that values teamwork, accountability, and treating people like family.
If you are motivated, dependable, and ready to lead, we will provide the training and support you need to succeed. Prior rail, mechanical, or automotive experience is not required.
LOCATION: Kansas City, Missouri
THE ROLE:
As a Rail Terminal Supervisor of Operations, you will oversee daily terminal activity, including the unloading of brand-new automobiles from railcars and the coordination of railcar maintenance activities. You will be a hands-on leader responsible for safety, efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction while guiding your team and keeping operations running smoothly.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Coordinate and schedule daily vehicle unloading from railcars.
  • Oversee and manage railcar maintenance activities to ensure equipment is safe and operational.
  • Lead, support, and motivate your team while monitoring productivity and performance.
  • Ensure all safety standards and procedures are followed consistently.
  • Communicate with customers and assist with equipment availability and planning.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control and vehicle security.
  • Assign daily duties and manage staffing levels.
  • Work closely with terminal leadership to identify opportunities to improve operations and maintenance processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE:
  • $24.00 per hour (Non-Union).
  • Full-time position (approximately 40 hours per week with some overtime available).
  • Various shift times available – all day shifts.

BENEFITS OF JOINING PRS AUTO:
(Most plans start after 60 days and the first of the month after that):
  • Affordable healthcare plans including comprehensive dental and low-cost vision.
  • Free life insurance.
  • Paid holidays and personal days.
  • Boot reimbursement.
  • 401K and vacation pay.
  • Weekly pay.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
  • You will be employed by PRS Auto, not the railroad.
  • Applicants must live within 45 minutes of the terminal.
  • Relocation assistance is not available.
This role is a strong fit for individuals with experience in warehousing, automotive services, mechanical operations, or team leadership who are ready to grow with a company that values its people and promotes from within.
If you are looking for stability, growth, and a workplace that truly feels like family, PRS Auto would love to hear from you.
