Who will you be working with
Wabtec's Digital Intelligence Signaling & Systems team is recognized as an industry leader in the successful delivery of complex integrated system projects, involving signaling, train control,
communications, and back-office solutions with a strong focus on project execution, project management, schedule adherence and customer satisfaction.

How will you make a difference?
As a Wabtec Signal Engineer, you have the opportunity to make a difference in our customer's experience. As a Signal Engineer you are responsible for engineering rail signal systems, including circuit design and vital logic programming. The Signal Engineer role will require working within customer specifications, FRA regulations, AREMA standards, M.U.T.C.D standards and ISO-9001 requirements.

What do we want to know about you?

You must have:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years of signaling experience required.
Proficient with MS Office suite (Excel. Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio)
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

What will your typical day look like?

In this role you will work on a team to complete railroad signaling projects for our customers.

This will include:

  • circuit design, vital logic programming, wayside interface unit programming, quality checking, and material estimating for wayside signal locations, at-grade highway crossing locations, and railway yards.
  • You will be required to work within CADD programs (Microstation and AutoCad), attend project meetings, manage and organize files within a document control system, review deliverables for proper version and accuracy prior to delivery, and produce documentation as required by the ISO-9001 Quality Management System.
  • Multiple projects may be worked in different stages at the same time.

What about the physical demands of the job?


Office environment. No adverse environmental conditions expected. Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $79100-112800. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
