Job description

Position Description: Duties include the following:

Define best approach for logistics concepts regarding shipping, customs, receiving, and forwarders
Ensure manufacturing floor is in compliance with all safety regulations
Supervise all departments, including assembly line and shipping Quote and monitor air and ocean shipments while maintaining the accuracy of databases.

Create, perform and oversee processed Domestic and International shipments

Work with international counterparts on current and future shipments Look to continuously improve processes, workflows, and team dynamic
Work with internal departments to develop improved processes
Analyze annual freight spend and continuously seek cost savings
Provide solutions to any customer-related concerns and educate clients on export regulations
Responsible for all general logistics duties for each designated product assigned to the role.
Know and perform duties of the logistics operator as needed. This role is also expected to cross train and learn other products.
Attention to detail combined with a full understanding of process flow for products managed.
Support sales distribution and materials management by tracking purchase orders from customers and coordinate most cost effective and efficient ways with suppliers/facilities to fulfill orders in accordance with company policies.
Arrange for transportation and negotiate optimal rates, track deliveries, and shipments. Maintain and update the rate for truck and rail.
Invoice customers in accordance with policy and escalate to Sales department if past due.
Respond to customer/supplier inquiries, provide guidance and resolution, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Review and monitor inventory to ensure successful fulfillment of orders.
Acceptance and acknowledgment of deliveries with industrial trucks
Monitor inventory levels at storage facilities, collect monthly reports and assist in reconciliation.
Perform filing of records and related paperwork.
Coordinate shipping / invoicing of final products
Monitor customers credit account status prior to shipment release and invoice creation.
Monitor customers overdue status prior to place orders.
Other duties as assigned.
Additional Information: Qualifications and Experiences

Bachelors Degree a plus (Not required)
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Four to six years of experience in logistics role
International Experience a plus
Forklift license required)
Experience in customer service role preferred
Industrial experience is a plus
Team-oriented and contributes to positive work atmosphere
Adaptability in the workplace to changing environment and cultural differences
Proficient software user, experience with general ledger entry, MS Office and good working knowledge of excel
Detail Oriented
Self-motivation, self-sufficiency, and a drive to succeed while working as a team player.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
