This position is Full Time working full time Friday-Monday from 12p-8p

What you will do:
Works under the supervision of the radiologists and management team to acquire diagnostic images for interpretation utilizing ALARA techniques; assists with invasive procedures as requested.
Equipment Used:
GE Portables, Philips Xray rooms, OEC GE C-arms, Hologic DEXA
 
Required Education:
Associates in Radiologic Science and/or graduation from an A.R.R.T. accredited program

Preferred Education:
Bachelors in Radiologic Science

Required Skills:
1. Excellent organizational, interpersonal relationship, decision making and patient care skills.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, positioning, techniques, and both radiation protection and safety.
3. Knowledge of radiographic physics.
4. Knowledge of medical terminology.
5. Ability to determine exposure factors to achieve optimum radiographic images with a minimum exposure to patients.
6. Ability to examine images for the purpose of evaluation of techniques, positions, and other related qualities.
7. Ability to position patient and adjust equipment to produce desired or optimum image of desired anatomy.
8. Skill in safe and efficient operation of imaging equipment.
9. Ability to deviate from normal techniques when necessary to develop new and better techniques to keep the department up to date.
10. Veni-puncture and comprehensive knowledge of proper use of contrast and injection of such contrast for patient exams.
11. Ability to determine proper protocols to achieve optimum diagnostic images with high degree of efficiency.

Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
R.T. (R) ARRT, Texas License, and BLS CPR
Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Multiple modality registry from ARRT
 
Required Experience:
Entry level registered technologist
 
Preferred Experience:
One year experience working as a radiologic technologist
