Job Description Summary
| Adjunct faculty in the College of Nursing and Health Professions (CONHS) are responsible for teaching radiography students in the classroom and/or clinical agency setting. Employment is on an individual course, as needed basis. The Adjunct Radiography Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in the radiography program. This includes teaching didactic and/or clinical courses as assigned, by accreditation standards, institutional policies, and program objectives.
| Responsible for modeling the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain required certifications/licensure and demonstrate continuing competence in the area of expertise
  • Teach assigned radiography courses (didactic or clinical) by course outlines and objectives.
  • Provide instruction using a variety of teaching modalities.
  • Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently using established rubrics and criteria.
  • Supervise and assess students in clinical settings, ensuring safe and effective patient care practices when applicable
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress.
  • Participate in course and curriculum development under the guidance of the Program Director.
  • Support the mission and goals of the Radiography Program and the institution.
  • Remain current in the discipline through continuing education and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with JRCERT standards and institutional policies.
  • Attend faculty meetings and training sessions as required.•
  • Comply with all requirements of the CONHP for teaching, i.e. annual OSHA, hepatitis/TB updates, CPR certification, license and certification renewal, current CV, etc. prior to the start of the course as applicable for teaching assignment
  • Comply with all CONHP Department of Undergraduate Studies requirements for teaching • Be responsible for meeting site expectations for classroom/technology use and teaching at the site
  • Within two weeks of completion of the course, return all course materials (i.e. textbooks) and equipment to the Lead Faculty

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography
• Current IEMA license
• Current BLS Certification (Clinical Adjunct Only)
• Minimum of 2 years of full-time clinical experience in radiography.

• Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas).
