Job Title:  On Air Talent - WDUV Radio

Position Overview

WDUV Radio Tampa has an opening for a full-time On-Air Talent role for 105.5 The Dove!  We are seeking a dynamic personality who can strengthen our on-air team while individually standing out in prime time and across social platforms.  The ideal candidate connects naturally with audiences on-air, in person, and on social media.  They bring a strong work ethic, collaborate well with others, and understand how to work within format guidelines to support ratings and revenue goals.  This person should be a strong storyteller with quick wit, have a solid understanding of forward momentum in a PPM environment, be emersed in pop-culture, and apply an active, forward-thinking approach to social media and video.  The role requires the ability to tease and deliver compelling content with strong pacing and timing, along with a programming-focused mindset and strategic experience.

This role reports directly to the Director of Branding and Programming and is based in the Tampa Bay area.

The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare show content, including format-related, pop-culture and local topics; create web and social media posts; and write and deliver commercial or personal endorsement content.
  • Host regular on-air shifts and additional voice-tracked shifts as assigned.
  • Work closely with the Director of Branding and Programming to develop relatable content, execute the format, and help achieve ratings goals.
  • Operate the control board and edit phone segments, interviews, and other audio.
  • Participate in remote broadcasts and station or community events as assigned.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and programming for the WDUV brand.
  • Partner with Sales and Promotions to maximize revenue opportunities, including promotions and personal endorsements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least one year of on-air experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong marketing instincts.
  • Demonstrated success driving ratings and revenue.
  • Experience operating on-air and production equipment.
  • Experience using audio editing software, such as Adobe Audition.
  • Proficiency with audio delivery and automation systems (i.e. Wide Orbit), music scheduling software (Music Master), word processing, audio editing, and web/social media tools.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and other shifts as needed.
  • Strong social media skills and the ability to deliver an engaging, PPM-friendly radio show.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with AC/CHR/Hot AC preferred.
