Job description

About DeWitts Radiator

DeWitts Radiator engineers and manufactures premium cooling products for aftermarket automotive, powersports, commercial, and defense markets. We are a team-first company that values craftsmanship, attention to detail, and continuous improvement — and we're growing. If you take pride in building something that works and lasts, you'll fit right in.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • 4-day workweek (Monday–Thursday, 5:30am – 4pm EST)
  • Climate-controlled facility
  • Collaborative team culture where your contributions are noticed and valued
  • Competitive pay, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with matching, long-term disability, and paid vacation
  • On-the-job training and certification provided (Hi-Lo operation, CPR, LEAN, ISO, LOTO, OSHA)
  • Opportunity to cross-train across departments and grow your skill set

The Role

As an Assembly Technician, you'll be at the heart of our production process — building the radiator cores that power vehicles around the world. You'll pull and prep components, operate core building machinery, run brazing operations, and flex across different work areas as the team needs you. No two shifts are exactly the same, and we love that about this job.

What You'll Do

  • Assemble radiator components in a fast-paced production environment
  • Operate hand tools and equipment including metal saws, braze furnaces, and stamping machines
  • Interpret work orders and track progress toward daily production goals
  • Load and unload furnace
  • Maintain high quality standards — inspect your work and catch issues before they move downstream
  • Operate a Hi-Lo forklift (training and annual certification provided)
  • Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe
  • Flex into other production areas as needed to support the team
  • Apply both Metric and US measuring standards accurately
  • Participate in various team meetings and committees

What We're Looking For

The best candidates for this role bring more than a skill set — they bring the right mindset.

  • 3+ years of hands-on manufacturing or skilled trades experience
  • Postsecondary degree, apprenticeship, or trade certificate preferred (not required)
  • Sharp attention to detail — you notice what others miss with the confidence to communicate it
  • Adapts comfortably to changing priorities and work areas
  • Genuine team player who communicates well and follows direction
  • Takes pride in the quality of their work and the reputation of the company
  • Proven consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to identify opportunities, improve efficiency, and streamline processes

Physical Requirements

This is active, hands-on work. You should be comfortable with:

  • Standing, walking, and working with your hands throughout a full 10-hour shift
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and fine-motor hand tasks (pinching, grasping, manipulation)
  • Lifting up to 30 lbs. frequently; occasionally carrying or lifting up to 50 lbs.; rarely pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Background check and drug screening required prior to starting date
  • Demonstrated skills reinforcing your work experience, communication style, and resume
  • Confirmation of ability to communicate electronically
