Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Radial Drill Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating a radial drill press to drill, ream, tap, and bore holes in metal parts according to blueprints and work instructions. The successful candidate will ensure quality workmanship while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate radial drill machines to drill, ream, tap, and bore metal components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
  • Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Select appropriate drill bits, cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and in good working order.
  • Identify and report defective materials, equipment issues, or quality concerns.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with other shop duties as assigned.
Qualifications
