Job Description
Overview: Kavaliro is hiring an Expert Systems Engineer with deep expertise in radar, cloud technologies, and enterprise GEOINT systems. This position supports the analysis, design, and integration of solutions across the NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies to ensure accurate and timely GEOINT delivery.
Responsibilities:
  • Support requirements engineering, solutions design, testing, and evaluation across mission systems.
  • Provide technical advice on cloud services, workflow optimization, and automation.
  • Translate mission needs into system requirements and solutions.
  • Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
  • Support strategic planning, project management, and risk management activities.
  • Oversee and mentor engineering teams of multiple levels.
  • Advise on system architecture, integration, and performance engineering.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related STEM field (Master's preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in systems engineering within DoD/IC programs.
  • Expertise in radar systems, cloud-based technologies, and enterprise integration.
  • Experience with MBSE, automation, AI/ML, and big data solutions.
  • Familiarity with NGA, NSG/ASG, and NRO program environments.
  • Certifications such as INCOSE ESEP, Professional Engineer, or Software Development Framework preferred.
Location:
  • Springfield, VA
  • This position is onsite and there is no remote availability
Clearance Requirement:
  • Candidates must have an active TS/SCI and CI Polygraph
