Job description

What you need to know about this position:

  • Broad Imaging Services Department that performs an average of 80,000 exams per year and offering CT Scan, MRI, PET Scan, Ultra Sound, Nuclear Medicine and all digital X-Ray.
  • Our Imaging Services Department supports Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Departments.
  • Provides health care services applying x-ray energy and computer processing techniques to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
  • Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
  • Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient's conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
  • Radiologic Technologist positions have a base hourly rate of $28.21. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable.  The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
  • The shift for this position will be 36 hours per week, working 12 hours per day, Monday and Tuesday, 10:30am-11:00pm and Thursday 11:00am-12:30am, with a weekend, holiday and on-call rotation.

What is required for this position:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent degree, completion of a military radiology program or completion of a hospital based radiology program required. Any and all must be approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • One year of practical experience as a Radiologic Technologist or equivalent is required
  • Graduate working under a valid Student Rad Tech license: Must maintain a valid X-Ray Machine Operators License from the Indiana State Department of Health within 6 months post-graduation
  • Current Registration from ARRT required within 90 days post-graduation, required CE credits must be maintained in accordance with accrediting bodies requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Associate (AHA) required
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and push or pull; must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move upt to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
