Job description

Overview

Workplace Services support

Inventory coffee, tea and break room supplies at NorCal sites to ensure supplies are adequate and coordinate with janitorial staff to replenish stock.  Coordinate conference room set ups with requestors and final set up for accuracy.

Receptionist

Backfill Building 1000 receptionists on PTO, sick leave, breaks, and lunch.  Greeting and assisting building guests and vendors.  Will serve as primary switchboard for incoming phone calls to corporate staff, technical support, and customer service. Assist the executive administrative assistants with visitors check-in.

Mailroom Courier

Support mailroom operations. Pick up and deliver Hercules campus mail, operate the postage machine, and UPS label maker.  Sort incoming and outgoing mail and assist with shipping and receiving functions

How You'll Make An Impact:

  • Allow for Bio-Rad personnel to man HQ lobby desk when main receptionist is out
  • Eliminating the use of security staff as reception backup
  • Ensure coffee and tea par levels are maintained
  • Mailroom operations will not be compromised when staff members are out
  • Confirm accuracy of conference room set ups
  • Ensure compliance with janitorial standards through periodic site walks

What You Bring:

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED Equivalent
  • Work Experience: 3+ years of mailroom and shipping/receiving experience desired
  • Work Experience: Min 2 years experience as a receptionist desired
  • Experience operating postage meter and mail sorter
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience utilizing SAP desired
  • Maintain professional bearing and appearance

Compensation: The estimated hourly range for this position is $18.94 to $23.65 per hour at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.  As a temporary associate, your employment will be managed directly through our approved agency provider.
