Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Chop Saw Operator:
1. Can accurately read and use a tape measure down to the 16th of an inch.
2. Can safely operate a nail gun. Understands its safety features and knows how to appropriately use without injuring the associate or anyone else.
3. Can safely operate all other hand tools needed for the required job. Etc.., Framing Hammers
4. Can safely operate all chop, panel, and hand saws.
5. Can identify all lumber products by size, type and species by sight.
6. Read, interpret and understand all aspects of build sheets. Can identify the different components, measurements, materials, species and nail patterns.
7. Mark and cut wood accurately for RO station
8. Label and stack components neatly in rack
9. Cleanup as required for area
Wall Stacker:
1. Safely operate overhead crane
2. Quality check wall panels for shined nails and remove and replace as per nailing paperwork
3. Ensure stack is correct as per stack sheets
4. Band all units for transportation
5. Label all wall panel bundles for storage and shipping reference
6. Process and turn in al paperwork
7. Clean up as required for area
Nail Bridge Operator I:
1. Basic understanding in computer operating systems
2. Place and secure wall panel into nail bridge table and ensure it is locked in and square
3. Verify nail pattern/spacing as per paperwork and choose correctly in computer
4. Verify window/door openings are correct as per build paperwork
5. Safely operate nail bridge to secure sheathing to wall studs
6. Understand nail patterns and how to identify over or underdriven nails
7. Understand how to properly load nails into guns
8. Cleanup as required per area
Precision Building Systems
Job Description
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Entry Level Position Temp to Full Time 0-6 months.
• Must complete all above Duties and Responsibilities proficiently, be tested and pass before moving to next level.
• Knowledge of common building materials used in residential, multi-family and commercial construction
• Knowledge of component manufacturing process used in residential, multi-family and commercial construction
• Attention to detail, takes pride in quality of work
• Must be able to twist, turn, bend and lift with 50 lbs.
• Efficient and able to complete assignments within a given deadline
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Communicates effectively with team members
• Experience in production manufacturing preferred
