Job Title: Data Center Technician โ€“ L2

Location: Reno, NV (Onsite)
Duration:Long Term Contract
Job Responsibilities

  • Perform rack, stack, and cabling of servers, storage, networking, and GPU systems.
  • Install rails, mount equipment, label assets, and maintain proper cable management.
  • Connect and verify power, fiber, and copper network cabling.
  • Execute hardware moves, adds, changes (MACs), deployments, and decommissioning.
  • Follow deployment runbooks and engineering documentation.
  • Perform basic hardware validation and physical troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking and documentation.
  • Work closely with Data Center Engineers and Network teams.
  • Follow ESD, safety, and security standards.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on data center rack & stack experience.
  • Strong knowledge of server rack layouts, structured cabling (fiber & copper), and PDUs.
  • Experience installing enterprise servers (Dell, HPE, Supermicro, or equivalent).
  • Ability to read rack elevation diagrams and deployment instructions.
  • Familiar with ESD procedures and safe hardware handling.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in rack environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
Preferred
  • Experience with hyperscale or GPU data centers.
  • Knowledge of hot/cold aisle containment.
  • Experience supporting hardware refreshes and migrations.
  • Basic Linux familiarity.
