Job description

The Data Center Installer III serves as the senior technical installer and crew leader responsible for complex infrastructure deployments, quality control, project coordination, and technical problem resolution. This position provides leadership while ensuring installations meet customer requirements and company standards.


Responsibilities
  • Lead installation teams on data center and telecommunications projects
  • Install, integrate, and troubleshoot complex network and server infrastructure
  • Perform advanced rack-and-stack installations for enterprise networking equipment
  • Install, terminate, test, and certify fiber optic and copper cabling systems
  • Perform OTDR, power meter, and cable certification testing
  • Interpret engineering drawings, rack elevations, and construction documents
  • Resolve installation issues and recommend technical solutions
  • Coordinate daily activities with project managers, engineers, and customers
  • Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with installation standards
  • Maintain project documentation, test reports, and as-built records
  • Train and mentor junior technicians
  • Support change management, maintenance windows, and emergency repairs
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, BICSI, NEC, and customer safety requirements

  • You are proficient in customer specifications and standards
  • You possess excellent communication skills, speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and get clarification; demonstrate group presentation skills
  • You have excellent time management; you organize and plan work activities, set goals and objectives, and develop realistic action plans
  • You are dependable; follow instructions, respond to management's directions, and keep commitments 
  • Advanced fiber optic installation and testing knowledge
  • Experience leading installation crews
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling standards
  • You have experience as a BICSI Installer or Technician
  • You have a FOA Fiber Optic Certification
  • You are OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certified
  • You have manufacturer-specific training (Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, etc.)

Compensation of $25-$30 per hour, depending on the experience.
