Van Driver

Valley Hospital is a private 122 bed psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health care and chemical dependency counseling services. We are seeking a dynamic and talented part-time van driver to join our team. The van driver provides transportation of patients to and from the facility providing continuous observation, interaction, and role modeling to the patients while maintaining safety at all times. Reports all van maintenance problems to the Transportation Coordinator Operations. The van driver will be responsible for the van log ensuring that the address and phone numbers are updated. Communicates and consults with the Transportation Coordinator and other staff members regarding patient care issues and information. Valley Hospital is centrally located with easy access to many areas of greater Phoenix.

Qualifications: Must possess a valid, class specific driverโ€™s license applicable to the transportation of patients. Must agree to MVD check as part of the background check process. Must have valid CPR card prior to start date. Must be 18 years or older and have a good driving record as obtained from the Department of Public Safety. Must complete training in seclusion and restraint procedures (SAMA) within 90 days of employment. May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
