Professional Race Team Transport Driver

AO Racing was formed in 2022 with a vision of winning at the top level of motorsports. Starting off with a bang in 2023 by participating in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the World Endurance Championship with our Porsche GT3-R and RSR (Rexy). We have currently expanded the team to a 2 car GTD and LMP2 IMSA program.

Responsibilities:

Safely and timely transporting race cars, spare parts, and equipment to and from racetracks.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in peak working condition.

Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

Expertly securing race cars and equipment to prevent any damage during transit.

Keeping meticulous records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.

Coordinate with the team's logistics manager to plan routes and schedule departures.

Assist with loading and unloading race cars and equipment as needed.

Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on the truck to ensure its reliability.

Communicate effectively with team members to provide updates on travel progress.

Maintain a clean and organized truck, ensuring that all equipment is stored safely.

Assist with DOT compliance management and fleet maintenance/coordination responsibilities

Requirements:

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL-A) with a clean driving record.

Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a truck driver moving high-value assets.

Valid passport or the ability to obtain one

Ability to work in close proximity as part of a team in a potentially stressful environment in a variety of weather conditions.

Physical fitness and stamina to load and unload race cars and equipment.

Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Flexibility to work irregular hours and weekends, as racing events may require.

Basic mechanical knowledge to handle minor repairs and maintenance.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in motorsports or car racing industry.

Knowledge of different types of race cars and their specific transportation requirements.

Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation management software.
