What are Quoting Engineers?

Quoting Engineers are professionals who analyze technical specifications and customer requirements to prepare cost estimates, proposals, and quotations for products or services. They work closely with sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure that quotes are accurate and competitive. Their responsibilities often include interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate materials, calculating labor and production costs, and addressing customer inquiries. Quoting Engineers play a key role in helping companies win business by providing timely and precise quotes.

What does a quoting engineer do?

A quoting engineer prepares cost estimates and proposals for projects by analyzing technical specifications, materials, and labor requirements. They collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure accurate pricing and may use software tools to generate quotes efficiently. The role often requires strong analytical skills and knowledge of industry standards.

What engineer makes $500,000 a year?
