Ferguson is currently searching for an HVAC Quotations Manager to lead our Commercial quotes teams in our HVAC division. Characteristics of someone who will be successful in this role are:

Position Details:

  • On-site position: Monday - Friday
  • Can be based in SC, NC, GA or FL
  • Oversee 6 Direct Reports
  • Reports to the Senior Director - Customer Groups

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and distributes highly technical bid invitations or requests for proposal, receives and analyzes quotes, bids and proposals, and awards the contract.

  • Facilitates negotiations with vendors for special terms and pricing for supplies and materials regarding quoted projects.

  • Executes job construction bid packages including bill of material, bid scheduling, maintaining bid files, cost and sales price, bid lists, vendor relation and negotiations, pricing, submittals and order entry.

  • Writes accurate job pricing records giving special attention to keeping accurate lump sum billing totals on our cost side (by vendor) and sales side (customer price) verifying all billing as accurate and complete.

  • Upkeeps file organization structure, participate in developing and maintaining project task boards.

  • Adhere to Company compliance and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and requirements

  • Regular and reliable attendance

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Solid understanding of RQC process and SOP's

  • 3-5 years' experience in quotation development is preferred

  • Proficient with Bidtracer and PlanSwift applications

  • Effectively demonstrates leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Strong mentor skills in a group or one-on-one

  • Familiar with major manufacturers, applications and technical aspects of HVAC equipment

  • Must be well organized, detail-oriented and have excellent time management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate across all levels of the organization

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (emphasis on Teams and Outlook)

  • Experienced in commercial HVAC projects, either via bid process or project management

  • Strong understanding of Ferguson's vendor programs

  • Flexibility and adaptability, as this position often requires multi-tasking

  • Self-motivated/goal oriented

  • Ability to perform job at workstation for prolonged periods of time
