Job description

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Procuring the plant's requirements for direct and indirect materials of the defined commodities.
  • Playing an active role in the development and implementation of global sourcing strategies.
  • Analyzing the local sourcing market for the relevant functional area.
  • Responsibly carrying out the entire purchasing process for local sourcing projects from the plant's requirements to RFQs and quotation comparisons to the supplier nomination.
  • Maintaining and developing supplier relationships in the relevant functional area and clarifying technical questions with the relevant technical departments.
  • Leading supplier negotiations and managing contracts for local projects in accordance with the defined global purchasing strategies.
  • Identifying and evaluating local suppliers in cooperation with CU Purchasing.
  • Regularly communicating and aligning with CU Purchasing for different commodities and supporting them during negotiations and the supplier release and development process.
  • Nominating suppliers according to the relevant purchasing authorizations that have been granted.
  • Supporting with quality and delivery issues using escalation processes.
  • Collecting, maintaining and evaluating all purchasing-related data and orders in Procurement systems and tools.
  • Proactively searching for and identifying potential cost savings and carrying out activities to implement them.
  • Planning and executing activities to achieve annual purchasing targets (KPIs) for assigned materials.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completed bachelor's degree in supply chain management or another relevant field of education
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in similar role or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 2 years of experience with SAP (preferred) or similar ERP/MRP platform
