Job description

Quotation Specialist

Location: Westfield, IN
Department: Operations
Reports to: Director of Operations

Employment Type: Full‑Time
Salary Range: $75k‑$85k commensurate on experience

Job Summary

We're hiring a Quotation Specialist to join our electronics manufacturing team. In this role, you'll prepare accurate customer quotes, build project cost estimates, and analyze material and job costing for printed circuit board assemblies, electronic components, and custom builds. You'll work cross-functionally with procurement, production, and inventory teams to deliver competitive pricing and reliable lead times.

If you have a background in manufacturing estimating, procurement, production planning, or inside sales support, and you're comfortable working in Excel and MRP systems like M1, Epicor, NetSuite, or SAP, this is a strong opportunity to grow your career in electronics manufacturing services (EMS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed price quotes and project estimates based on customer Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Build accurate bills of material (BOM) for electronic assemblies, including boards, mechanicals, and custom parts
  • Source component pricing and lead times from approved suppliers, factoring in MOQ requirements
  • Use the M1 MRP system to manage customer data, supplier records, and pricing information
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and inventory teams to validate quote accuracy
  • Follow up on open quotations and revise pricing as customer requirements evolve
  • Triage incoming RFQ packages to identify missing information and prioritize next steps
  • Deliver responsive customer service to both internal teams and external customers via email and phone
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's or bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
  • Experience: 1–4 years in an electronics manufacturing, contract manufacturing (EMS), or technical production environment
  • Software: Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, cost modeling); proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • MRP/ERP: Familiarity with MRP or ERP systems such as M1, Epicor, NetSuite, SAP Business One, or similar
  • Technical Knowledge: Ability to read a bill of materials (BOM) and recognize electronic component categories (passives, ICs, connectors, mechanical hardware)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a quoting, estimating, or pricing analyst role
  • Background as a buyer, production planner, procurement coordinator, or inside sales support specialist
  • Direct experience with the M1 ERP system by ECi Software
  • Working knowledge of PCB assembly, electronic components, or custom manufacturing processes
Skills and Attributes

The right candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and self‑motivated, with the organizational skills to manage multiple active quotes simultaneously. You're comfortable in a fast‑paced production environment where priorities shift, and you can take an incomplete customer request and figure out the first steps independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 90 days, you'll learn our quote template, M1 environment, supplier base, and most common product types. By six months, you'll independently manage quotes from intake to submission, balancing competitive pricing with healthy margins. Long‑term, you'll help refine our quoting process and identify trends across customer requests.

Equal Opportunity Employer

Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens or current Green Card holders due to our military contracts. We cannot sponsor visas.

Benefits
  • Competitive salary for the engineering tech space
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) with Company Match
