Quintiles information

What types of projects do employees typically work on at Quintiles, and how do cross-functional teams contribute to project success?

At Quintiles, now part of IQVIA, employees are often engaged in projects related to clinical research, data analysis, and pharmaceutical consulting. These projects frequently require collaboration across departments, such as clinical operations, data management, and regulatory affairs. Cross-functional teams bring together diverse expertise to ensure projects are completed efficiently, meet regulatory standards, and deliver high-quality results to clients. This collaborative environment not only enhances project outcomes but also provides opportunities for employees to learn from different disciplines and advance their careers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive at IQVIA (formerly Quintiles), and why are they important?

To thrive at IQVIA, a leading clinical research and healthcare data company, you generally need a background in life sciences, data analytics, or related fields, often supported by a relevant degree or certification. Familiarity with clinical trial management systems, statistical software (such as SAS or R), and regulatory compliance tools is typically required. Attention to detail, problem-solving, and strong communication skills are crucial for collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects. These skills ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance necessary for successful clinical research and healthcare analytics.

What are Quintiles?

Quintiles was a global biopharmaceutical services organization that provided clinical research, consulting, and other services to help pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies develop and market new treatments. In 2016, Quintiles merged with IMS Health to form IQVIA, one of the world’s largest providers of advanced analytics, technology solutions, and contract research services to the life sciences industry. The term 'Quintiles' is now often used to refer to the legacy services and expertise that continue within IQVIA, especially in the areas of clinical trials and drug development.
