American Roofing & Waterproofing, LLC is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Accountant to join our growing team and oversee our day-to-day accounting and financial operations.

We are looking for a rockstar, problem solver, and highly motivated professional who enjoys taking the lead, thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, and takes ownership of their work. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to providing accurate financial reporting while supporting the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day accounting operations
• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
• Increase collections and maintain receivables within company goals
• Ensure jobs are accurately job costed and closed within 30 days or less
• Maintain accurate financial records and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting
• Prepare monthly financial statements, cash flow reports, and account reconciliations
• Coordinate with ownership, CPA, auditors, banks, and financial institutions
• Ensure compliance with payroll, sales tax, and accounting regulations
• Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiencies
• Support ownership with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic reporting

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or roofing
• Expert-level knowledge of QuickBooks and AccuLynx
• Strong experience with job costing, collections, WIP reporting, and financial reporting
• Highly motivated self-starter with exceptional organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and lead accounting operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
