Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Table Games Shift Manager and Pit Manager, the Table Games Dual-Rate Manager will perform the duties of Table Games Floor Supervisor or Dealer based on business needs. In the role of Floor Supervisor is responsible for supervising the activity of all table games, ensuring the gaming activity, and dealing procedures comply with the Table Games Department policies and procedures. The Table Games Dual-rate Floor Supervisor monitors and supports team members assigned to their areas, and additionally may conduct a variety of casino games, providing prompt and courteous service to all gaming patrons. In the role of Table Games Dealer promotes positive customer experience by dealing Table Games to guests on assigned shift in a prompt, courteous and professional manner for blackjack or other table games, as applicable.

Responsibilities:

Dealer

  • Must adhere with and be in compliance with Catawba Nation Gaming Commission regulations, casino policies, internal controls, standard operating procedures and conducts all games in accordance with aforementioned regulations, policies, and controls.
  • Always promotes positive public/employee relations.
  • Accurately deals the assigned game to the policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of that game.
  • Verbalizes the game in a voice loud enough for the players and supervisors to hear.
  • Verifies beginning and ending chip and money balances and confirms supporting documentation.
  • Receives fills and distributes credits. Exchanges paper currency for playing chips, as applicable.
  • Recognizes internally issued promotional coupons and handles as appropriate.
  • Ensure wagers are placed before cards are dealt.
  • Monitors game and notifies Table Games Floor Supervisor of any disputes, problems, or concerns with patron and/or the progress of the game.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Assists in company functions.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by management.

Floor Supervisor

  • Compliance with Catawba Nation Gaming Commission regulations, casino policies, internal controls, standard operating procedures and conducts all games in accordance with aforementioned regulations, policies, and controls.
  • Assists with training and supervision of all Table Games personnel.
  • Responsible for player ratings in assigned area.
  • Ensures dealer accuracy and corrects mistakes when needed.
  • Always promotes positive public/employee relations.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Assists in company functions.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience of a minimum of 2 years' Table Games experience. Startup Table and dealer school training experience is preferred.
  • Must have experience in two of the core games (Craps, Blackjack, Roulette, and baccarat) and the Carnival Games.
  • Knowledge of gaming and alcohol beverage control regulations and company internal policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Catawba Gaming License.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Public relations and customer service skills.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data, casino/slot policies and promotions.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work an alternate schedule as needed including but not limited to nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours.
  • Ability to work in a loud fast-paced environment (may occasionally be exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke).

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements. Ability to operate computer equipment for extended periods of time. Must be able to talk, hear, and see. The employee is required to walk and stand on their feet for long periods of time. Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
