Job description

Position Title: Automotive Service Advisor - Express Lane
Company: Woodhouse Auto Family
Service Center Location: Ford - 3633 N 72nd St, Omaha, NE 68134
Position Type: Full - Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 5:30PM
Compensation: $15 Hourly + 5% commission on individual total gross on labor, parts and sublet minus discounts
*Competitive pay based on experience and skills.

We are seeking a customer-focused and organized Express Auto Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking quick, routine vehicle maintenance. You’ll ensure an exceptional service experience by accurately identifying customer needs, recommending appropriate services, and maintaining clear communication throughout the service process.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • Post offer screenings:
    • Background check
    • Drug screening

Duties:

  • Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner, completes full-circle-walk-around vehicle inspection and obtains vehicle information.
  • Writes up customer’s vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order.
  • Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications and technicians’ findings.
  • Inspects all vehicles for body work, informs customer if work is needed, and provides an estimate for body work.
  • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
  • Establishes “promised time” – and checks with dispatcher, if necessary.
  • Obtains customer’s signature on repair orders and provides customers with a copy.
  • Establishes customer’s method of payment and obtains credit approval, if necessary.
  • Checks on progress of repair throughout the day, contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
  • Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair orders as appropriate.
  • Ensures that vehicles are parked in assigned areas and makes sure they are locked and all keys are marked and put away correctly.
  • Keeps service department forms, menus and pricing guides up-to-date.
  • Explains completed work and all charges to customers.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction standards.
  • Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Keeps work area and customer waiting area clean.
