Job description

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The individual hired into this position would be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment including troubleshooting and repairs of heavy equipment, rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work safely at all times
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment including CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engines
  • Mechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power tools
  • Weld, cut and perform minor fabrication on plantor mobile equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education Required

  • Vocational training or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience Required

  • Certification from a trade school is preferred
  • A CDL and a clean driving record

Work Environment

This is a full-time position that regularly requires 40+ hours per week in a surface mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment.
