Polycor Natural Stone is a leading North American quarrier and fabricator of natural stone, and we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Limestone and Marble sales team. A high level of customer service, a hunter mentality, and a willingness to travel within the territory (60%) are essential.
You'll focus exclusively on Ohio as the primary sales representative responsible for developing new dealer business in a core growth market. This role requires residency in Ohio or the surrounding area to effectively support market development, customer engagement, and territory growth. This position has defined a sales strategy plan and a developed prospecting plan designed to help a new sales candidate immediately hit the market and begin building momentum.
Polycor Natural Stone quarries limestone, marble, and granite, offering products as quarry blocks, slabs, and fabricated stone including treads, veneers, sills, caps, coping, and paving.
This is a newly created Business Development Manager position designed to accelerate Polycor's growth throughout Ohio. We are seeking a true hunter-someone who is energized by prospecting, opening new accounts, and developing long-term customer relationships. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, competitive, resilient, and driven to uncover new opportunities while consistently building a strong sales pipeline. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to grow market share, acquire new customers, and establish Polycor as the preferred natural stone supplier throughout the territory.
SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage prospecting activities, qualify and develop dealer prospects to sell Polycor Hardscape and Masonry products.
  • Prospecting to dealers through phone calls, email, in-person meetings, networking, and social media engagement (100% of your time).
  • Work with the Sales Director to develop your territory strategy and annual goals.
  • Maintain accurate customer activity, opportunities, and forecasting through Salesforce CRM.
  • Communicate weekly sales activity, territory forecasts, competitive intelligence, and market analysis to the leadership team to support informed business decisions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful B2B sales experience.
  • Proven track record of prospecting, developing new business, and growing market share.
  • Highly organized with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient using CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 60% within the assigned territory.

Compensation: Total target compensation of $100,000-$140,000, consisting of a competitive base salary plus commission.
