Position Summary: This position performs the essential functions and demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities as listed below.

Pay IAM- Starting Rate $24.77- Top Rate: $27.47

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Operate cab-controlled cranes and pendant and/or remote control cranes, to support manufacturing operations and as needed to transport raw material, work-in-process, finished parts, sub-assemblies, skids, racks etc. between work centers and/or storage locations.
  • Perform complex lifts and riggings to support operations as needed.
  • Operate manual and powered material handling equipment to transport raw material, work-in-process, finished parts, sub-assemblies, skids, racks etc. between work centers and/or storage locations.
  • Place into stock, pull, deliver and move materials in support of business objectives.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Inspect, receive, sign, unpack, identify, and place in appropriate storage or staging location incoming materials. Check all received materials against packing list to ensure correct piece count, part number and purchase order. Document potentially damaged material and receipt discrepancies.
  • Gather, pack and ship materials and product.
  • Assist management in completing all paperwork for return to stock, floor/stock shortage forms, etc. Ensure all routers are signed off properly and parts are placed to proper stock location or work center.
  • Process inventory transactions in accordance with inventory control procedures.
  • Ensure inventory is stored at its proper location, is identified, and is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Protect materials and product from damage during transport.
  • Ensure materials placed in storage and staging locations are adequately protected from damage.
  • Assist management in verifying inventory accuracy.
  • Perform equipment inspections and PM as instructed, reporting issues and concerns to supervision.
  • Work in a safe and cautious manner at all times to avoid injury to self and others and to avoid damaging plant equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain a productive work pace, performing tasks in accordance with applicable quality standards.
  • Follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area.
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and supervision to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Manual dexterity
  • Able to count accurately and have basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
  • Able to read, write legibly and carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • Able to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner as needed to complete assigned duties.
  • Able to use CRT/computer/bar code reader to retrieve and/or input data.
  • Plan work to maximize utilization of equipment.
  • Work with minimum supervision.
  • Knowledge of GMS and safety systems to ensure compliance.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED One year of work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist/turn, bend/squat, climb, reach below knees and reach above shoulders on a continuous basis.

Frequent use of powered material handling equipment.

Frequently required to lift/carry up to 15 lbs. unassisted, occasionally lift/carry 16-50 lbs. unassisted.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Must be able to prioritize work using general guidelines to respond to multiple, simultaneous demands and requirements efficiently without losing composure.
