What You'll Do

As a Mechanics Supervisor, you will work closely with the mechanic teams to troubleshoot, diagnose and make appropriate repairs. You will supervise and assist mechanics crews in maintaining all related plant equipment and facilities. You will be responsible for monitoring maintenance activity and makes necessary adjustments to meet expectations and commitments to internal and external customers. Other duties include:

  • Maintains safe working conditions and promotes personnel safety.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable Dyno Nobel HSEQ Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.

  • Supervises mechanic groups in their daily work.

  • Supervises and maintains safety and reliability standards.

  • Coordinates maintenance work with maintenance engineers, maintenance planners and operation's personnel.

  • Recommends repairs or modifications to equipment.

  • Assist in the solicitation of bids for materials and service work on equipment.

  • Prepares and maintains records and reports

  • Assists in developing and maintaining preventative maintenance program to provide reliability to plant equipment.

  • Assists in the development and training of maintenance personnel. Evaluate Technicians performance and provide coaching for continuous improvements.

  • Repair and maintain plant piping, vessels, valves and rotating equipment.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance work.

  • Manage equipment maintenance history and work orders in SAP to assure timely maintenance task completion.

What We're Looking For:

  • Technical College or equivalent training in the equipment maintenance field or relevant plant experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in the maintenance field

  • Understand and perform lockout tagout (LOTO) and basic mathematical problems

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Willingness to work overtime and be on call as required

  • Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a TWIC card.

  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.

Annual Salary Range*: 75K - 100K
