Job description

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator with strong experience in excavator, front-end loader, and crushing operations in a landscape rock quarry environment located in Mayer, AZ. This role requires advanced equipment proficiency, mechanical aptitude, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production setting.

Operators will work with Caterpillar excavators (CAT 320 through CAT 349 class, including hammer and bucket work) and Caterpillar wheel loaders (CAT 980 and CAT 982 class) to support quarry production, material movement, and crushing operations.

This is a hands-on, team-oriented position. Operators must be willing to step outside the cab and actively support the crew. Tasks may include shoveling material, unclogging crushers, assisting with screen changes, and other general plant support duties. Flexibility and teamwork are essential to success.

This role also requires strong awareness of dust control practices, including proper water application, material handling techniques, and maintaining safe visibility and environmental conditions throughout quarry operations.

In addition to equipment operation, this role includes preventive maintenance, basic mechanical troubleshooting, safety leadership, and maintaining accurate digital timekeeping and reporting through a mobile app system.

We offer a competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package, which includes:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options with employer contribution

  • Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay, including a paid birthday off
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
